The Screen is the New Battleground

for Media this Decade

Entertainment – Gaming – Retail – Banking – Health –
Music – Sports – Publishing

The surge of the new screen economy is on everyone’s radar – yet currently, there is a multi-channel disconnect on how to leverage content across all screens. Revenues from multi-screen content platforms are estimated to top $21 billion in 2014 (source: INSTAY*) and consumer adoption of tablets is already outpacing similar adoption of smart phones. In fact, some 273 million households will be using some kind of multi-screen device by 2015*.

It is clear that the “battle of the screens is accelerating and continues to disrupt traditional media and content models. The MultiScreen Summit will explore:

  • Why content needs to be fluid, frictionless across all screens
  • How each specific screen engages consumers
  • How best deliver high quality, consistent content to maximize monetization of screens

Unicomm and The Bob Dowling Group present an all new industry event, the MultiScreen Summit September 19-20, 2012 at the Hollywood & Highland Center in Hollywood. The MultiScreen Summit, is produced in association with Variety and brings together senior executives from entertainment, gaming, retail, health, music, sports and publishing to show them how to deliver compelling content and profitable multi-screen services.

For those delivering content to consumers, they need the tools and strategies to unleash the power of the multi-screen presence while ensuring a seamless experience to tell their stories,” says Gary Schwartz, the author of The Impulse Economy and North American chair of the Mobile Entertainment Forum. “The two-day Summit will include keynotes, one-on-one interviews, panels, technology demonstrations, networking events as well as table top displays and interactive showcases to build a strategy for success," adds Schwartz who will serve as Content Chair for this year's MultiScreen Summit.

The MultiScreen Summit is co-located with Unicomm’s fifth annual 3D Entertainment Summit in association with Variety that explores the business drivers and opportunities afforded by 3D technology.

“We see a lot of synergy with co-locating these two events. The common thread is that consumers demand compelling, rich media across all screens. “From 3D Silver screens to smartphones, to tablets, to television, connected content will rein king for the consumer moving forward,” said John Golicz, CEO of Unicomm. “In this unique forum those who attend will see the future for consumers in terms of technology, content and distribution.”

This is a “must-attend” event for individuals and companies seeking to leverage the screen revolution.
